I’ve stumbled upon this list. Don’t know if all sites are still active. But you can always check it out. It’s a shame, though, that major sites like delicious,propeller etc are not in this list.

Fantastic list. Even I now become aware of how ping system works. I know wordpress has got a fantastic option for using ping but I’m not sure how blog providers like bloggers, typepad works!! Anyway thanks a bunch for the list.

The list is too big for me and chances r there that you end up pinging one site many times n getting banned b’coz multi pinger sites like pingomatic.com automatically ping many other sites in the list.

I have made a note to update this post (it's getting old). I would definitely suggest not using this list in addition to pingomatic.com for the exact reason you just mentioned. Nuff said… I won't say more until I have reviewed and updated this post for 2010
